How do I calculate decimal hours for my timesheet?
Divide minutes by 60. For example, 20 minutes is about 0.33 hours, so 23 hours 20 minutes becomes 23.33 decimal hours. This calculator shows both H:MM and decimal hours automatically.
How should I enter unpaid breaks?
Use the Break field for each day and enter unpaid time in minutes (for example 30) or as H:MM (for example 1:00). Break time is subtracted from that day's total before the weekly sum.
Does this timesheet calculator track overtime?
It totals regular worked hours with optional rounding. It does not apply overtime rules by state or employer policy. Use the weekly total to compare against your overtime threshold manually, or export the sheet for payroll review.
Can I print or download my timesheet?
Yes. Use the Excel or PDF buttons in the summary panel to download your entries and totals. You can also use your browser print menu (Ctrl or Cmd + P) to print the page.
Is my timesheet data saved or uploaded anywhere?
No. Calculations run entirely in your browser. Entries are not sent to Small Tools Buddy servers. If you clear site data in your browser, local form values on this device are cleared as well.
How do overnight shifts work?
If the end time is earlier than the start time (for example 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM), the calculator treats the shift as overnight and totals the hours across midnight automatically.
